BEND, OR (October 5, 2012) Victor Hoffer, field training officer and operations supervisor with Rural/Metro Ambulance in Salem, was recognized Oct. 5 at a ceremony in Bend for advocating for emergency services. Hoffer is from Mt. Angel, Oregon was given the award for meritorious service by the Oregon Health Authority’s Emergency Medical Services and Trauma Systems Program.
Hoffer, who was appointed to the Oregon Transportation Safety Committee, is credited with helping formulate the state’s 10-year Traffic Safety Action Plan to increase highway safety in Oregon.
He was also honored for helping to expand EMS training opportunities throughout the state with partner agencies and community colleges.
