With more than 27 years in the EMS industry, Mark Norman has worked in almost every aspect of the business. Starting his career in San Diego, Mark worked in Support Services, as an EMT, Paramedic, Dispatcher, Supervisor and Manager before moving to Los Angeles where he managed one of the largest Communication Centers in the state. Several years later, he moved to operations, where he worked as a Manager, Director and Vice President of Operations in Los Angeles, Glendale, Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties before moving back to his hometown of San Diego. Mark takes pride in being able to understand, know and have worked in almost every aspect of the EMS industry and looks forward to working with the Rural/Metro team in Santa Clara
David Patterson, Division General Manager, Colorado

As Division General Manager for Rural/Metro's Colorado operations, Mr. Patterson provides direction and oversight of emergency and non-emergency patient transportation for municipal customers, major hospitals and healthcare providers throughout the Colorado market. The division includes two primary operating companies: Rural/Metro Ambulance and Pridemark Paramedic Services. Mr. Patterson joined Rural/Metro in 1993 and has served as an EMT/Paramedic, Paramedic Supervisor, Operations Manager, General Manager, Director of Operations and Division General Manager. His 20-year EMS career began as a firefighter/EMT for Clear Lake City Fire Department near Houston, Texas. Mr. Patterson is a member of the Board of Directors and the Finance Committee for the Community College of Aurora Foundation, and a Board Member for Spirit of Aurora and the Tallyn's Reach Master Association. He is Secreatry and former Treasurer of the Aurora Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Patterson received his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management and Marketing at Baylor Univeristy, his Master's Degree in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix and Executive Leadership Certification from Cornell University.
Mike began his EMS career more than 20 years ago as both an Emergency Medical Technician, and Paramedic. Mike’s attention to detail, charismatic nature, and drive for quality led him to Market General Manager with Rural/Metro in the State of Oregon, followed by his recent promotion to Division General Manger overseeing Rural/Metro operations in the Pacific Northwest. Mike manages all financial and operational aspects of the Pacific Northwest Division, and ensures that the communities served consistently receive outstanding customer service and clinically superior care. Retaining and growing the Rural/Metro presence in this region is a top priority of Mike and he ensures the Company is constantly in touch with the needs of the community, fire and healthcare partners and other members of the EMS community. Mike leads this Division reflecting and promoting the values of Rural/Metro Corporation while cultivating a respectful and collaborative work environment.

As Division General Manager for Rural/Metro's Nebraska and South Dakota operations, Mr. Stuhr provides direction and oversight of emergency and non-emergency patient transportation services for municipal customers, major hospitals and healthcare providers throughout Nebraska and South Dakota. Mr. Stuhr joined Rural/Metro in 1975 and has served as Market General Manager for the Omaha Division from 1994-2001 and Division General Manager since 2001. He attended the University of Nebraska and received his Paramedic certification from Lincoln Creighton University.
Jeff Taylor, Division General Manager, NorCal Non-Emergency Operations550 Syacamore Drive
Jeff joined Rural/Metro in March 2013 as Division General Manager for the Company’s non-emergency medical transportation business in Northern California. He is based out of the Company’s location in Milpitas and have direct oversight of all business operations, growth and development. Jeff is a career EMS executive with experience leading diverse operating models. Immediately prior to joining Rural/Metro, Jeff was Managing Director for Patients Plus, a division of Paramedics Plus that specializes in non-emergency medical transportation services throughout Alameda County, California, where he was responsible for implementing and managing all aspects of the business, including customer development, growth, and contracting. Jeff also served as Chief Operating Officer for Paramedics Plus, responsible for Alameda County 911 operations, maintaining system performance while providing exceptional response time compliance, as well as all business development growth and acquisitions in the California market. His service to the Paramedics Plus organization also included three years as Director of Operations for the company’s Sunstar Paramedics division, the exclusive contracted provider for 911 ambulance services in Pinellas County, Florida. Jeff received his NREMT-Paramedic certification from Virginia Commonwealth University and has held additional certifications including, Six Sigma Yellow Belt, Medical Priority Dispatch, Trauma Care, Commercial Flight Paramedic, Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (provider/instructor), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (provider/instructor), among others. He is a member of the American Ambulance Association, California Ambulance Association (Legislative Committee Member), and the National Association of EMTs.

Nancy Erickson joined Rural/Metro in August 2012 as the West Zone Human Resources Manager. Before joining Rural/Metro Nancy held the role of the Corporate Human Resources Manager at Pacific Coast Steel where she helped the company grow from 100 employees when she began in 2001 to over 2500 employees. As Human Resources Director, she oversees all aspects of employee/labor relations, policy and procedure, compensation and benefits, affirmative action, equal opportunity issues, training and development, and negotiations and grievance administration. Nancy holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Management and is a certified Profession of Human Resources.
